“Is Sakurai okay?” The reason Arashi fans are worried about Sakurai Sho
This year, Sakurai Sho has once again been chosen to be main newscaster for the 2012 London Olympics. However, lately Arashi fans have been expressing concern since it seems that “Sakurai Sho won’t come out to the public.”
A fan claims that, “When Aiba or Nino are waving their hands and greeting, Sho always escapes in a car out of sight. It’s never been like that until now.”
Fans who wait to see an idol are of course a big part of an idol’s life. Since Arashi members are especially famous for being kind to their fans who wait to see them, the fans are now beginning to ask, “Is Sakurai okay?” So, what in the world has happened to Sakurai Sho?
A pro entertainment insider states, “Some time ago, Josei Shuukanshi published an article claiming Sakurai knocked down the cellphones of fans who ran up to him. Right after this article was published, his cautiousness during work has become very high.”
According to April’s Josei Shuukanshi, Sakurai Sho knocked cellphones out of fans who had their camera phones aimed at him, while yelling “Don’t take pictures!” Since the force of the blow was so strong the phone clapped onto the ground. Witness testimonies claim that about 5 phones went flying. Since then, Sakurai’s fall from his image as a “refreshing good young man” has became a discussion among Arashi fans.
However, a fan who happened to be at the scene of the crime claims a much different story.
“Josei Shuukanshi’s article has been dramatized too much,” she says, “although it’s true [Sakurai] said ‘don’t take pictures!’, his hand only bumped into the cellphones and they fell. The article makes it seem like he was mowing the cellphones down out of their hands, but it was definitely not a fight scene atmosphere. And more than that, real fans would never just pull out their cellphone camera and point it at him, without manners. The people’s who’s cellphones dropped were probably people other than fans. ”
Although the real story might be a little or more less different, there’s no doubt it has ruined Sakurai’s image, and at this point he definitely can’t escape negative articles like this. For the fans, this might be a sad event, but let’s hope they can sympathize with Sakurai’s feelings and watch with warm eyes.

Fans aren’t feeling the new Nino hair, Johnny’s at risk of balding
Ninomiya Kazunari recently dyed his hair blonde for his upcoming role in Nippon Terebi’s 24 Hour TV drama “Kurumaisu Boku wa Sora wo Tobu”, in which he plays the role of a young delinquent who was paralyzed on the lower half of his body after getting into some trouble. There are high expectations for Ninomiya for this role after playing other handicapped characters in dramas such as “DOOR to DOOR” and “Marathon”.
But the fans are more focused on the important things, like his hair color.
“The color is too light, it’s an out-of-fashion blonde”, “What about the black eyebrows?” some fans complain. Even Ninomiya claims that the other Arashi members “drew back beyond my expectations” in response to his hair color. However, there are some champions of justice protecting Ninomiya’s hair color, “This out-of-fashion style is close to the reality of throwing away your life!” “These kind of unsatisfying delinquents exist! They exist!” “When I got used to it, it’s kind of cute.” Of course, in these comments have arose some worries about Ninomiya’s scalp, and this isn’t the first time worries about Ninomiya balding have arose.
“Once at an Arashi concert,” says a Johnny analyst, “the topic ‘Who will become bald first?’ came up, and Ninomiya, Sakurai, and Aiba were all predicted. But Ninomiya was the one considered especially likely. Right now, it’s said his father is in Mr. Namihei’s state, but I’m praying Ninomiya himself doesn’t develop those traits.
From the start Johnny’s idols have been damaging their hair with products, photography lights and dye. Since many Johnny’s live an unsteady life and there are a lot of heavy smokers, they are inclined to have a weak scalp. There are a lot of fans that can accept fat idols, or idols with some whiskers, but can’t accept balding. I hope they protect their hair roots with their life.”

Kuroki Meisa to act in Taiga drama
On the 24th, it was announced Kuroki Meisa would star in next year’s NHK Taiga drama “Yae no Sakura”. Although the popular actress Kuroki has played the heroine in many dramas before, this is her first time acting in a Taiga drama. Kuroki famously had a sudden marriage with Akanishi Jin, and is expecting a baby in October.
Kuroki, even after her marriage, has continued her activities as an actress. However, for Akanishi, the papers are blank. Due to suddenly marrying Kuroki, Akanishi’s country-wide tour was cancelled. Further, he is to pay all of the fees cost by cancelling the tour, and was forced to step down from the Fuji TV’s remake of “GTO”, scheduled to start in June. It’s unclear if promotion will increase for Akanishi, who is currently awaiting the premier of the Hollywood movie he acts in, “47 RONIN”, due next year.

80% of Japanese polled believe hallyu will end in 4 years
On the 15th, the Korean newspaper “Seoul Economics” published a survey polling over 3600 people from 9 countries, including Japan, China, the United States, and France. The newspaper reported that over 60% of those polled believe hallyu would end in 4 years. By country, those in Japan who believed it would end in 4 years answered by 80%, Taiwan by 77%, China by 73%, and France by 64%.
According to the same article, 20.5% of those polled cited the reason hallyu would not continue to last long was that “The contents are standard and easy to get tired of.” Furthermore, in terms of K-POP, groups having the same dance and looks, and in terms of drama having the same birth, immorality, revenge, and similar storylines, all were identified as reasons.
Korean netizens have also responded to the article, with one side bearing optimistic views: “I believe we can solve the problem.” “If there’s a problem let’s fix it.” However, critical views were also shared: “You guys finally get it? No one watches dramas except old ladies.” “The guys who show contempt for the Japanese and South East Asians are the problem.” “Koreans don’t have enough creativity. Let’s reflect on it.”

Kobayashi Susumu passes away at 58
Kobayashi Susumu has passed away from cirrhosis of the liver. He died at 10:45 in the afternoon on the 16th. He was 58.
According to people close to him, Kobayashi suffered from illness for several years, and after the filming of “Odoru Daisousasen THE FINAL Aratanaru Kibou” this year in February, he received a diagnosis of a remainder of 2 or 3 weeks left and became hospitalized.
Kobayashi worked as an actor since the 1990s, and he famously played the role of Tsukushi’s father in “Hana Yori Dango”. Kobayashi also acted in roles in dramas such as “Long Vacation” and “Siberia Chou Tokyuu”.

Sawajiri Erika suffering from multiple personalities?
On May 15th, it was revealed actress Sawajiri Erika was on hiatus since mid-May due to poor health. Allegedly, she is suffering from symptoms close to that of multiple personality disorder, and told by her doctor to cease activities.
Since she has made a hole in her career, it’d be proper Sawajiri be criticized, however, these circumstances are different. According to a movie insider, “Lately she’s been strange. At one moment she’s highly emotional, the next she’s depressed… I thought maybe it was multiple personality disorder.” In the movie Helter Skelter, Sawajiri plays a model named Ririko who received plastic surgery on her entire body. In the movie, not only is Sawajiri to reveal her assumed F cup breasts, but she is also to take part in an extreme sex scene and a lesbian scene.
According to the same source, “She was so hoisted to the work she even said things to Director Ninagawa like ‘Let me do it!’ She wouldn’t allow herself to compromise her role.” Sawajiri is after all the type who takes the image of her roles, and make them posses her.
It seems like Sawajiri has captured Ririko’s “darkness”, and now even rumors of her acting strange have arisen. According to an eye-witness, “Just a little before I saw her in Tokyo, in Roppongi, at a membership bar dead drunk. She was sitting alone at the counter, asking people she didn’t even know “Hey, could you get me a drink~” with a coaxing voice. When she got the drinks she didn’t even say thank you, she just dazedly stared at specks on the glass and then continued to drink. I didn’t get it.”
According to Ichibu Shuukanshi, Sawajiri once arrived hungover at filming, making co-star Terajima Shinobu angry. However, there seems like there’s another reason Terajima was angry. Another movie insider reports, “During filming, Director Ninagawa barely directed Sawajiri. She was almost crushed with pressure and anxiety. The two of them are deeply bonded but, from a third point of view, the filming spot looked tense.”
Director Ninagawa herself made a comment concerning Sawajiri the 15th, “Many times reality and fiction are linked, and she’s experienced something where the boundary lines have become blurred. It’s inevitable she’ll need some rest.” Ninagawa also revealed that Sawajiri stated “I can’t escape from Ririko’s character.” According to an insider, at the end of last week Sawajiri got a medical exam from a doctor, and although her ailment was not revealed, there’s no doubt her mind and body are experiencing a breakdown.

Kuroki needs to go nude in order to pay Akanishi’s debt
Even though Kuroki Meisa is currently 4 months pregnant after her shotgun marriage with former KAT-TUN member Akanishi Jin, a tragic reality is awaiting her - debt hell.
“Akanishi’s penalty is a debt around something-million yen. The only one who’s able to pay it back is Kuroki. There’s no other survival way unless Kuroki lay’s her life down to do a sex scene or go nude.” (Entertainment Staff)

Maeda Atsuko, an enka singer?
Ever since Maeda Atsuko made the announcement that she was graduating from AKB48, rumors have been hovering everywhere about her retiring from the entertainment world. In those rumors include Maeda going into “foreign studies”, “an extended break”, and even “Hollywood”.
However, an insider of a key station close to AKB48 informs that something else is developing under the water: Maeda is preparing to make a shocking redebut as an enka singer, “It’s a plan fostered by Akimoto. Akimoto really loves enka, and has supprted a lot of enka artists before. It seems like he’s writing lyrics in the theme of bonds.”

It’s also being rumored that Maeda is moving forward to TBS where she will work as a caster. It’s said she’s taking an offer to work as a show host on a afternoon program that would start in October.

Netizens worried over Yamada Yu’s skinny appearance
Yamada Yu, who married actor Oguri Shun March 13th, recently uploaded several pictures to her web blog of her slender waist, arms and back. But now worries have arisen over her underweight appearance. Although Yamada displayed a beautiful figure in her last Anan shoot, on the internet netizens are speaking out about the photos:
“Her pelvis is sticking out. Is she anorexic?”
“Is it because being skin and bones is okay? Eat properly and exercise, seeing your bones is pathetic.”

It’s just not Arashi, AV Actress who committed suicide had relations with other Johnny’s

Last week, the AV Actress AYA who committed suicide by jumping off a building has become a topic in the entertainment world, as her relationship with various Johnny’s talents and pictures with several other talents are printed in Shuukan Bunshun on the 4th. In the issue, not only is her acknowledgement as the Arashi eater exposed, by so are her friendships with Nagase Tomoya of TOKIO and Imai Tsubasa.
In the beginning, the Arashi member AYA first had a relation with was Matsumoto Jun, who she met in middle school before the formation of the group. Later on, she gained relationships with Ohno Satoshi, Ninomiya Kazunari, and Aiba Masaki, but only Sakurai Sho was said to have had a bad relationship with her. Even further, Aya, who is from Kansai, also had an intimate friendship with Kanajni∞’s Shibutani Subaru and Nishikido Ryo.
AYA’s debut in the entertainment world started when she debuted as a member of “L☆IS”, produced by Komuro Tetsuya. After the breakup of ”L☆IS”, AYA worked a steady life as a promotion girl, but later on in the May of next year made her debut as an AV actress. AYA, who was already a Johnny’s fan beforehand, first gained a liking to V6’s Morita Go, but it’s said to no avail was she able to meet him. However, in Bunshun, an industry insider reveals AYA had many relationships with numerous Johnny’s:
“Practically in no time after her debut, she first began to have sexual relationships with ‘Y’ from a group born in the Heisei era. The person who is said to be the source of the leakage of photos for Ohno’s marijuana threesome, and Matsumoto’s and Sakurai’s foursome is AYA.
