Nakajima Kento the next Kimutaku?
Without a doubt, Johnny’s is in the age of Arashi, but it’s no mistake that the one on top of Johnny’s, or rather, the entertainment world as a whole is none other than Kimura Takuya.
Many times before there have been Johnny’s rumored to be Kimutaku’s succesor, but it seems they’ve all come up short.
However, there’s one Johnny idol that’s being highly praised.
The anticipated star is in question Nakajima Kento. Nakajima, who was born in Tokyo, is currently 16 and active with the groups B.I. Shadow and Sexy Zone.
Nakajima himself is pretty high up on the Junior popularity barometer. Hes already accumulated 14 Junior awards, including “Most Ideal Lover” from Myojo. In 2008, Yamada Ryosuke gained a total of 20 Junior Awards, with Akanishi Jin coming in behind, who previously dominated owning 16 Awards in 2006.
With this, it’s only natural to have great expectation’s for Nakajima’s future.
The Don of the Entertainment World, Johnny Kitagawa, also had some words regarding Nakajima, “From the start he liked Johnnys. The first time he cried at a concert was Tegomass’, and it seems like Higashi’s book “Kawasaki Kid” has left a deep impression on him. Its amazing that someone in their teens knows the quality of that book! Someday I hope he’ll be able to carry the weight of Johnny’s on his shoulders.”
It might be a little early to say Nakajima is the next Kimutaku, but his current popularity and the anticipation for his future seem very high.
